The Mohylianka Community Has Established a Scholarship Fund to Honor the Memory of Mohyliantsi Fallen in the Russian-Ukrainian War

During the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Mohylianka community lost 29 members — students, faculty, and staff — 27 of whom died in combat. They were among the most active Mohyliantsi, who upheld the values of the community, contributed to building Ukraine’s future, and gave their lives for it. The Scholarship Fund serves to honor their memory and carry forward their legacy.

The Fund Will Support:

• Students

• Faculty at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA)

• Projects that contribute to the development of the Mohylianka community and Ukraine

Who Can Receive the Fund’s Scholarships and Grants?

• Undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students — ₴50,000

• Faculty members — ₴80,000

• Student organizations — ₴100,000

Selection Process

Candidates are selected on a competitive basis:

• The NaUKMA community nominates candidates

• A selection committee determines the recipients

The committee includes representatives from the NaUKMA administration and student body, the Alumni Association, and the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation.

Project aims

2024–2025

• 3 student scholarships — ₴50,000 each

• 1 faculty scholarship — ₴80,000

• 1 student project grant — ₴100,000

2025–2026

• Total scholarships: ₴330,000

• Endowment: ₴4,000,000

Project purpose

To establish a Memorial Scholarship Fund honoring fallen Mohyliantsi — supporting defenders' legacy, fostering the development of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and uplifting students and faculty who strengthen the Mohylianka community and its values.

Project influence

The Memorial Scholarship Fund will serve as a lasting reminder of the shared mission for which the fallen Mohyliantsi gave their lives — the building of a free and successful Ukraine.

Scholarships and grants will support students making a leadership impact toward that mission, and faculty who foster the unique Mohylianka community where such leaders are nurtured.
