Winners of the Yevhen Kvaskov Grant: the Moot Court Lab project begins work

This year marks the second competition for the Yevhen Kvaskov Grant. This initiative was founded by the Kvaskov family to continue Yevhen's work — to further promote the development of young people, in particular the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and its community. The grant aims to support student projects that work to develop the Academy, preserve historical memory, and consolidate Ukrainian society.

Based on the results of the competition, the winner was a project from the Kyiv-Mohyla Moot Court Society — “Moot Court Lab: Integrating Moot Courts into the Educational Process of Law Students.”

What is the project about?

Moot Court Lab aims to popularize moot courts among students and institutionalize the successful experience of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy students participating in competitions. The main idea is that the knowledge and skills acquired by students in international arenas should not disappear after graduation, but should become the foundation for training future generations of moot court participants. The project aims to create a vibrant professional community within the Academy, where experience is passed down from generation to generation.

What are the plans?

Work on implementing the idea has already begun. A key stage of the project will be the Moot Court Lab School, where students will be able to master the art of legal argumentation and experience the thrill of court simulations in practice.

School dates:

March 7–8

March 14–15

The project team is grateful to the Kvaskov family for their support.
