The recipients of the Yevhen Kvaskov Memorial Grant have been announced

13.11.2024

Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation announced the Yevhen Kvaskov Memorial Grant on Ukraine's Independence Day. This grant aims to support student projects that foster the development of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and its community, preserve historical memory, and contribute to the unification of Ukrainian society.

Two student projects were selected to receive funding from the grant.

👏 The first winner is the project Konstruktiv, which focuses on creating content about culture and the arts. Videos produced as part of this project will provide engaging insights into research, inspire viewers to reflect, and serve as a platform for discussions on research made by KMA students. We invite you to follow the project's development on the Konstruktiv YouTube page.

👏 The second project team to receive grant funding plans to organize the KMA festival "StudFest: Shadows of Forgotten Funk." This event will introduce Academy students and other visitors to the forgotten history of Ukrainian music—the funk of the 1950s and 60s. Equipment purchased for the initiative through the grant will be used for future "StudFest" events dedicated to Ukrainian traditions and musical history.

🫂 We are sincerely impressed by the finalist teams as well as by everyone who applied for the grant! Once again, we are reminded that KMA community is full of unique ideas and talented individuals. This grant for student projects is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in organization, drafting a quality project proposal, and presenting one's ideas.
