First Boychuk Family Scholar Completes Bachelor’s Degree

01.08.2025

This year, the first recipient of the Boychuk Family Named Scholarship, Kateryna Shvedchykova, graduated.

Kateryna completed her bachelor’s program in “Chemistry.” This year, she will continue her studies at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in the master’s program in the same field.

“This support has been not only financial assistance for me but also a great source of motivation. In moments of doubt, it reminded me that my work matters and that there are people who believe in my potential,” says Kateryna. (can be placed on a slide)

Being the first graduate of the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation’s scholarship program is both an honor and a responsibility. I believe this initiative will change the lives of many talented students, just as it has changed mine.

To future scholarship recipients, I wish you not to be afraid to dream big. Every challenge is a step forward. And sincere gratitude to those who support you only strengthens your resolve. May your education become the foundation for positive changes in the world.”

Three other recipients of the Boychuk Scholarship continue their studies.

Lyubomyr, Yaroslav, and Oksana Boychuk — students of NaUKMA from 2001 to 2007 — established the named scholarship. Alongside Kateryna Shvedchykova, three more students received the Boychuk Scholarship: Valerii Viter and Marta Myzak, currently studying in the bachelor’s program in “Sociology,” and Oksana Bohdanets, who has completed the second year of her bachelor’s degree in “Social Work.”

The Boychuk Scholarship is made possible through cooperation with the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation.
