Student Initiatives Grant named after Oleksandr Vitkovskyi

Friends from the Kyiv-Mohyla community and Oleksandr’s family have established the Oleksandr Vitkovskyi Student Initiatives Grant in honor of a Mohyla graduate who was killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Oleksandr was a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Biology and a student of the Master’s program in Ecology. Throughout his student life, he was an active member of the NaUKMA Student Brotherhood, worked as a cameraman and editor for Ta Mohylianka, and was one of the first members and administrators of the “KUT” Music Hub.

To honor Oleksandr’s memory, the foundation team decided to create a grant that will support the development of the student environment through project-based, institutional, or research activities.

Project aims

Raise 1,200,000 UAH to establish an endowment fund.

Project purpose

To ensure the sustainable operation of the Oleksandr Vitkovskyi Student Initiatives Grant, which will contribute to the development of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and support student projects that strengthen the community and its values.

Project influence

The Oleksandr Vitkovskyi Student Initiatives Grant will serve as a tribute to the memory of one of the Heroes and as a reminder of the shared goal for which they gave their lives — a free and successful Ukraine. The grant aims to support student projects that contribute to the development of the Mohyla community and foster a strong national and patriotic spirit.
